TaKeshia M. Dozier, MBA, BS, CDCA is a behavioral health finance and operations executive with more than 20 years of experience transforming psychiatric hospitals, addiction treatment centers, and multi-payer behavioral health organizations. Known for bridging strategy, clinical operations, and financial performance, she advises healthcare leaders on sustainable growth, revenue cycle transformation, and navigating complex regulatory environments.
Currently serving as VP of Behavioral Health Consulting at SimiTree, TaKeshia partners with executive teams across the country to improve financial visibility, strengthen revenue integrity, and scale behavioral health programs in an evolving reimbursement landscape. Her work focuses on aligning operational workflows, payer strategy, and analytics to drive measurable outcomes for organizations serving Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial populations.
Prior to her consulting leadership role, TaKeshia served as Chief Executive Officer of Ethan Crossing of Cleveland, where she led a 130-bed addiction treatment campus through significant operational and financial transformation. She has also held dual Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer roles at SUN Behavioral Delaware, where she reduced net accounts receivable days by more than half, decreased denials by 30%, and implemented systems supporting Joint Commission and EMTALA compliance.
Earlier in her career, TaKeshia served as Chief Financial Officer within Universal Health Services facilities, including Poplar Springs Hospital (VA) and Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services (AL), overseeing multi-department operations spanning finance, utilization management, admissions, and plant operations. Across these roles, she has consistently delivered improvements in revenue cycle performance, workforce optimization, and regulatory readiness.
TaKeshia holds a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Alabama. She is also a Certified Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), bringing a unique perspective that blends financial leadership with a deep understanding of clinical environments.
