Eric Scharber

Executive Vice President

Eric Scharber entered the world of talent acquisition and retention totally by accident, right out of college. But it didn’t take long before he realized he had a knack for connecting people with opportunities.

Eric is an Executive Vice President of SimiTree, leading all talent acquisition and employee retention efforts for the Post-Acute and Behavioral Healthcare industries. He oversees executive search, management recruiting and interim leadership services, as well as advisory services related to workforce management. After founding the firm in 2005, Eric led it to become the top recruiting and executive search entity for the Post-Acute and Behavioral Health industry, serving clients across the U.S. and completing more than 3500 recruiting and interim leadership projects since inception.

Eric is passionate in his goal of surpassing his client’s expectations and assisting them with talent acquisition and employee retention strategies. He is a sought-after speaker nationally on the topics of Employee Retention and Recruitment, Building Culture, Leadership Development and Strategic Planning. Eric earned a B.S. in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing and Public Relations from the University of Florida.

Erin Masterson

Associate Principal, Senior Vice President of Post-Acute RCM, SimiTree

Erin Masterson has over eleven years of experience in the homecare and hospice industry providing extensive revenue cycle and operations consulting to organizations of all sizes. Erin’s work has focused on operational and accounts receivable engagements with an emphasis on project management and leadership surrounding organizational structure, revenue cycle process efficiency and accounts receivable reductions.

In addition to her role as Associate Principal in Consulting, and now SVP of, Post-Acute RCM at SimiTree, Erin has served in various interim Revenue Cycle leadership positions for not-for-profit and for-profit, system-based and independent home health, homecare and hospice organizations. Erin is passionate about promoting industry education and development for young professionals. She has spoken at several national and state events, provides educational webinars to homecare-based providers across the nation and sits on several committees and task forces that promote mentorship, female empowerment, and philanthropic initiatives.

Todd Montigney

For Todd Montigney, Field of Dreams isn’t just a favorite movie—it’s a reflection of his philosophy: pursue what’s possible and always do the right thing. That mindset drives his leadership as EVP at SimiTree, where he finds the greatest reward in connecting with new people and helping organizations realize their full potential.

Todd brings deep expertise in accounts receivable management, finance, and operations across a wide spectrum of healthcare settings—including hospitals, health systems, home health, hospice, long-term care, and DME facilities. His career has been dedicated to improving outcomes for home health and hospice agencies by increasing reimbursements, enhancing operational efficiency, boosting staff productivity, and reducing accounts receivable days and bad debt.

A specialist in stabilizing and improving business operations, Todd has led numerous revenue data mining initiatives, recovering more than $75 million in reimbursements for various healthcare providers. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy Administration from Penn State University.

Nick Seabrook

Executive Vice President, SimiTree

Nick Seabrook is Executive Vice President at SimiTree, where he leads Client Development and Strategic Partnerships. A co-founder of BlackTree Healthcare Consulting, Nick brings over 25 years of experience in home care consulting, helping agencies enhance profitability and reimbursement through revenue cycle improvements, workflow optimization, operational efficiency, and strengthened compliance.

Nick has served on several industry boards, including the Home Care & Hospice Association of New Jersey, the Association for Home and Hospice Care of North Carolina, and the Pennsylvania Homecare Association. He is also a long-standing member of the HHFMA Advisory Board, where he has contributed to the workgroup committee for over a decade. A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Nick is recognized as a trusted thought leader in the home care space.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University. A passionate sports enthusiast, Nick is a devoted Villanova and Philadelphia sports fan. When he's not working or speaking, you’ll likely find him coaching his kids in softball and basketball—or cheering on his favorite teams.

Robert Simione, CPA

Senior Vice President, SimiTree

Rob Simione is a Senior Vice President at SimiTree, with more than 17 years of progressive accomplishments and leadership in finance, operations and data analytics to support the Post Acute and Behavioral industry. Rob previously served as the Director of Financial Consulting at SimiTree, leading finance and operations teams. As an experienced leader in financial and operational performance improvement with expertise in organizational assessment, budget and financial management, Rob has served in many interim management positions.

A Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York, Rob leads the Consulting and Professional Services teams at SimiTree. Rob has worked closely with a wide variety of organizations to develop financial, operational, marketing and information technology strategies that are to long-term financial planning. Prior to his years in home care and hospice, Rob worked at Price Waterhouse Coopers, where he received the Chairman’s Award for excellence in teamwork. Rob is a member of the Alliance for Home Care and Hospice’s Advisory Group and services as the chair of the Young Professionals and Regulatory committees. He graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. in accounting.

Chris Akerley is the Senior Vice President of Data Analytics at SimiTree, a leading healthcare consulting and data analytics firm. Chris is a renowned expert in leveraging data and technology to drive transformative change in healthcare organizations.

In 2007, Chris co-founded Afia Inc. with the mission of revolutionizing healthcare through data-driven solutions. Under his leadership, Afia became a trusted partner for organizations across the country, helping them improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency by seamlessly integrating data analytics and innovative technologies. In 2023, SimiTree announced the acquisition of Afia.

As SVP of Data Analytics at SimiTree, Chris oversees the development and implementation of cutting-edge data strategies that empower healthcare providers to make more informed decisions. Named to NACVA's prestigious "40 Under Forty" list in 2015, David has established himself as a trusted advisor in healthcare finance. He provides comprehensive M&A support—from due diligence and valuation to workflow optimization and post-merger integration—across home health, hospice, pediatrics, and behavioral health sectors. As an interim financial executive for both independent and hospital-affiliated organizations, he has consistently delivered transformative results.

A graduate of the University of Connecticut, David is a sought-after national speaker on Medicare billing, revenue recognition, and financial benchmarking. He actively serves on industry committees and maintains leadership roles in key healthcare and financial associations, including the National Association for Home Care & Hospice and the Home Care and Hospice Financial Managers Association.

Tiffany Fuller

SVP of Coding SimiTree

Tiffany is a visionary leader in the post-acute healthcare industry, with over a decade of experience transforming operations, driving growth, and delivering innovative solutions for home health, hospice, and palliative care organizations nationwide.

Her journey in healthcare began in 2012 as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Home Health Solutions, LLC, a premier firm specializing in coding and consulting services for home health and hospice providers. Under her leadership, the organization experienced significant growth and established itself as a trusted partner in the industry, ultimately leading to its strategic merger with Simione Healthcare Consultants in 2020. Following the subsequent integration of Simione with BlackTree Healthcare Consulting in 2021, Tiffany was appointed SVP of SimiTree’s Coding Division—one of the largest and most respected coding and OASIS review organizations in the post-acute space.

Since assuming this leadership role, Tiffany has been instrumental in scaling SimiTree’s coding operations, driving substantial revenue growth, expanding service lines, and implementing cost-effective, high-quality solutions tailored to the evolving needs of healthcare providers. Her strategic oversight has positioned the coding division as a leader in the industry, known for its accuracy, efficiency, and client-centric approach.

Tiffany’s leadership philosophy is grounded in fostering high-performing teams and leveraging innovative technologies to enhance quality, compliance, and operational performance. She leads a robust team of over 400 professionals, who pride themselves on maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and client satisfaction

An advocate for continuous learning and professional development, Tiffany earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Park University, graduating summa cum laude. She served as President of her National Society of Leadership and Success chapter and holds certifications in Project Management, Human Resources, and Healthcare Leadership. Tiffany is passionate about driving excellence, advancing industry innovation, and delivering transformative outcomes that improve the quality and efficiency of post-acute care services

J’non Griffin, RN, MHA, HCS-D, HCS-C, HCS-H, HCS-O, COS-C

SVP Coding/OASIS SimiTree

J’non Griffin brings more than three decades of clinical and leadership experience in coding and compliance to her role at SimiTree as Vice President, Coding and Compliance.

She launched her own outsourced coding and consulting company, Home Health Solutions LLC, in 2012. It was named by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the nation in 2017, 2018, and 2019 before merging with Simione Healthcare Consultants in 2020. When Simione merged with BlackTree in 2021, J’non took over the helm of SimiTree’s coding division. In 2023, she was named Vice President of Compliance as well as Coding.

Griffin is an accredited ACHC and CHAP consultant, and a popular educator at nationwide conferences. In 2021, she was named Associate of the Year by the Texas Association of Home Care & Hospice, and is currently serving a two-year term as Secretary for the Florida Home Care Association.

A registered nurse who has held a master’s degree in health administration since 2005, Griffin is certified as both a Homecare Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS-D) and as a Homecare Coding Specialist-Hospice (HCS-H)./p>

She also holds OASIS competency (COS-C) certification and teaches OASIS courses nationwide. As an AHIMA approved ICD-10-CM trainer/ambassador, she is a foremost expert in the international disease classification set and diagnostic coding, and has expertise in Medicare methodology.

With more than 30 years of experience since her first job as a field nurse, Griffin has served in administrative roles ranging from agency director to regional director as well as roles in quality and compliance for home health and hospice agencies. She and her husband Richard make their home in North Carolina.

Scott McKinney, PhD

SVP of Behavioral Health RCM SimiTree

Dr. Scott McKinney is a healthcare executive with a focus on revenue cycle management and revenue growth, and a history of delivering exceptional financial results. His expertise spans revenue cycle optimization, contract negotiations, strategic planning, new business development, market expansion, and M&A activity.

Dr. McKinney's career includes leadership positions at SimiTree Acquisitions, where he is currently Senior Vice President, Sana Lake Recovery Centers, where he was a Co-Founder and Executive Vice President, and Midwest Institute for Addiction, where he was the founder and CEO.

He has a demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve operational efficiency, and drive significant revenue increases. Dr. McKinney holds a PhD in Business Administration and has a background that includes service as a Force Recon Marine.

Mike Simione, MBA

VP of Post Acute Data Analytics SimiTree

Michael joined the SimiTree team in 2011 and has over 13 years of data analytics and healthcare consulting experience. As VP of Post-Acute Data Analytics for SimiTree, Simione heads a team of experts whose work is at the forefront of data extraction, transformation, and loading. This has led to the development multiple solutions and dashboards leveraged by post-acute providers that provide insights into market trends as well as business development, operational, financial and revenue cycle KPIs. These tools, combined with Simione’s consulting experience, allow agencies to optimize their strengths while simultaneously developing performance improvement plans to address their internal pain points.

Simione’s areas of expertise includes strategic planning & business development, budgeting, dashboarding & benchmarking, as well as value based purchasing. His extensive work with SimiTree has included development of comprehensive financial, revenue cycle, quality, and operational, solutions to improve client efficiencies and overall performance.

Michael Simione has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Bucknell University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Quinnipiac University.

As CEO of SimiTree, Bill oversees the company’s strategic direction, growth initiatives, and operational execution, ensuring that SimiTree remains a trusted partner in post-acute and behavioral healthcare. Under his leadership, SimiTree delivers industry-leading consulting, revenue cycle, and talent solutions that help organizations improve financial performance, enhance compliance, and optimize patient care.

With more than 30 years of experience, Bill has played a key role in shaping the home care, hospice, and behavioral health industries. Before becoming CEO, he managed SimiTree’s consulting product and service delivery efforts, as well as Simione’s Financial Consulting division. He has also held numerous interim leadership roles, including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Patient Accounting for a range of organizations—from single agencies to multi-state and hospital-owned post-acute entities.

Throughout his career, Bill has led successful agency turnarounds, acquisition positioning, and operational improvements, with expertise in financial and operational reviews, budgeting, accounts receivable management, mergers and acquisitions, and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.

A highly regarded speaker, Bill frequently presents at national, state, and local industry events. He is an active member of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, the Home Care and Hospice Financial Management Association (where he serves as the chair of the education committee), the Connecticut Association for Healthcare at Home (former treasurer and current board member), and the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts. Bill holds a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University.
