On Jan. 27, 2023, CMS published updates to Appendix M of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) State Operations Manual which includes significant changes in the hospice survey guidance, updates to the Interpretive Guidelines and changes in L-Tag designations, all of which will have significant impact on the survey process.
