Since the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency ushered in many regulatory waivers and flexibilities allowing the expanded use of telehealth, virtual visits have become much more common in home health.
Telehealth visits remain unbillable for the time being – but the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has begun the implementation of a phased-in approach to require home health agencies to report all telehealth visits.
Telehealth reporting will become mandatory for all home health periods of care beginning July 1, 2023, or later. Specific G codes will be required. Until then, home health agencies are expected to voluntarily report telehealth visits occurring for periods of care beginning Jan. 1, 2023, or later.
SimiTree revenue cycle management experts will explain the guidelines for these new billing guidelines in detail during a 60-minute complimentary webinar on Thursday, Feb. 16. They’ll also offer an outlook on the prospect for future billing.
Join us for the webinar as we:
