These are some of the questions you need to ask the insurance company before you admit the patient:
- Is the patient eligible for home care service, and is their policy effective?
- Does the patient policy have out-of-network benefits?
- Are authorizations required for each visit?
- Does the patient have deductibles and has it been met?
- Are there any co-pays or other patient responsibilities?
