Home Care & Hospice Association of New Jersey Honors Nick Seabrook with Carol Kientz Award

[June 16, 2023] Hamden, CT– The Home Care & Hospice Association of New Jersey (HCHANJ) has honored Nick Seabrook, SimiTree Managing Principal, with the 2023 Carol Kientz Award. The award is given annually to an individual who has made significant contributions to the home care and hospice industry in New Jersey.

“Nick is a shining example of what it means to be a home care and hospice professional,” said Nancy Fitterer, President and CEO of HCHANJ. “He is compassionate, caring, and dedicated to providing the best possible care for clients and patients. He is also a tireless advocate for the home care and hospice industry, and he is always working to improve the quality of care that is available to New Jersey residents.”

Seabrook has been a member of HCHANJ for over 10 years and has served on the board of directors, the Billing Managers Committee, and the Advocacy Committee. He is also a frequent speaker at NJHHA events and has written extensively about home care and hospice. He has presented at numerous state and national conferences and his participation in these and many other industry forums and events over the past 20-plus years has garnered recognition as a leading authority on solutions to the latest operational, clinical, and regulatory challenges.

“I am deeply honored to receive the Carol Kientz Award from the New Jersey Homecare and Hospice Association,” said Seabrook. “This is a tremendous honor, and I am humbled to be recognized by such a respected organization. I am grateful to Nancy Fritter and the entire HCHANJ team for their leadership and advocacy on behalf of home care and hospice providers and patients.”

SimiTree CEO and Managing Principal Bill Simione commented, saying, “Nick is a valuable asset to our team and to the home care and hospice industry as a whole. He is a dedicated and compassionate professional who is always willing to go the extra mile for his clients and their patients. I am proud to have him as a member of our team of experts and I am honored to see him recognized for his work.”

The Carol Kientz Award is named after Carol Kientz, a longtime advocate for home care and hospice in New Jersey. Kientz served as the Executive Director of HCHANJ from 1994 to 2009 and was instrumental in the growth and development of the organization. She fought for better access to home care and hospice services, and she worked to ensure that these services were affordable and accessible to all.
